My name is Tom McHugh. My story started as I was at home scraping the labels off my prescription medication bottles. My wife, Vicki, asked, “What are you doing? It looks like you can hurt yourself!” I informed her that I was taking the information off my medication bottles. She proceeded to ask “Why? Who Cares”? I told her to look at all the information that each prescription bottle has on it. It has your name, doctor, medication, prescription number, refills and the bar code that has all info if it is scanned! If the wrong person got their hands on it there could be a major problem! She questioned if there was something to remove the information on the bottle. After extensive research, I found various knives and scrapers that could cause harm; magic markers that are not permanent removers; and some people boil the bottles which can be messy and someone can burn them self. At that point I went full throttle in inventing the patented “Label Zapper”.

My name is Victoria Walczak- McHugh.  I am a retired Registered Nurse and Massage Therapist.  I have whole heartedly supported Tom on his journey to conceptualize, research, create and patent the Label Zapper from its conception.  Over the years, we spent many hours discussing and strategizing.  Unfortunately, in the middle of his product journey, there was a medical detour.  I developed breast cancer, required surgery and follow up chemotherapy.  Needless to say, Tom suspended his product journey to be my support.  Fortunately, he was able to redirect his efforts again and focus on the end results.  I am enthusiastically his cheerleader and support.
